Carpenter Ants
These ants invade our homes. All kinds of houses, from the oldest to the newest and from the poorly constructed to the best.
When a house becomes thoroughly infested there is little likelihood that the fact will be detected by the human occupants. On warm days early in the spring, many people first become aware of carpenter ants in their homes when swarms of larged winged ants emerge from the walls. A faint, rustling sound in walls, floors and wood workwork is another common clue. Also, you may see piles of fibrous "sawdust". |
