MEET THE TEAM

I am the founder of Environmental Pest Control and Insulation. I have enjoyed watching the industry grow and evolve over the 50 years I’ve been a pest control operator. I grew up here in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. I married my wife Lois in 1964 and raised our two boys here in Whatcom County. I enjoy fishing, hunting and traveling with my family and dogs.

JEFF HOLMES

My wife, Leanne and I own Environmental Pest Control. I’m proud to say I was able to purchase the business from my dad, Burt to keep us a local family owned business. I graduated from Lynden High School along with my wife who was my high school sweetheart. We have been married since 1986 and have two daughters and three grandchildren. I enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time at our cabin in Eastern Washington with family and friends.

KATELYN zima

Hi there, my name is Katelyn and I am the office manager here at Environmental Pest Control. I officially started with the company in 2012 but I started riding along with grandpa Burt and “coloring” in the office with grandma at a very young age. A good portion of my time is spent on a field or court watching my son Rylan compete in multiple sports. I find my happiness in spending as much time as possible with my fiancé Blake, my son Rylan and all of my family.

Alyson Ellis

I’m Alyson and I’m the Office Assistant here at Environmental Pest Control. I joined the team in February of 2022. Everyday I’m learning something new and I’m thrilled to be apart of this great company. I’ve got one son, Landyn who keeps me extremely busy with sports year round. I love doing anything that involves being outdoors! Hiking, fishing, adventuring/exploring, gardening, and kayaking are just a few of my favorite things to do. 

Gracie Holmes

Quality Control Executive

Hi, I’m Gracie! I just joined the Holmes family in June of 2023 and boy have they spoiled me. I spend lots of my day sleeping but I love greeting any guest when they walk through the door. Afternoon rolls around and it’s time to start causing some havoc around the office, I steal paper, shoes or whatever else I can get my teeth on. Come on by so I can meet you sometime.

Hi, my name is Nathan and I’ve been with Environmental Pest Control since late 2018. I love pest control because it’s about helping people. It’s always changing and there’s always more to learn. When I’m not at work I’m spending time with my wife and son. If you’re having pest problems, let us help!

STEVEN STERK

Hi, my name is Steven. I grew up in Lynden and currently live in Bellingham with my wife and two kids. I have broad customer service experience from my prior work. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my time with my family hiking, biking and watching my kids play sports. I look forward to collaborating with you to control your pest problem.

MARC KIEFER

Hi, my name is Marc. I graduated from Mt. Baker High School. I currently live in Ferndale with my two beautiful daughters who I love spending my extra time with. I also love cruising around on my Harley and watching the hawks!! I can’t wait to meet you and take care of your pest control needs.

JUSTIN TUCKER

Hello, my name is Justin Tucker. I have been with Environmental Pest Control since July of 2020. Born and raised in Whatcom County and graduated from Nooksack Valley High School. No two calls are the same in this industry, and I strive to solve any issues that arise and the chance to learn something new every day. I am very detail oriented and stand ready to provide an honest and enjoyable customer experience. Outside of work I like to spend my time with friends and family. Some of my hobbies include hiking, camping, road trips and photography. I look forward to meeting you and to provide efficient solutions for controlling your pests.

Sam Welch

I'm Sam Welch. I've been with the company since March 2022. I look forward to finding solutions to your unique problems! I've lived in the Blaine/Bellingham area for 15 years. When I'm not crawling around under houses you'll find me bouncing between crags (Erie, Squamish, Leavenworth) or hanging out in the woodshop.
