I HAVE CARPET BEETLES, NOW WHAT? | ENVIRONMENTAL PEST CONTROL

Getting rid of carpet beetles in your rugs and carpets
Carpet beetles are tiny insects that are relatively harmless. They can lay eggs which hatch into larvae. They eat holes in cotton, wool, carpet, and other natural materials. Adults can come in through open windows, then lay eggs while in your home.
How to get rid of carpet beetles
- Vacuum them
- Use a carpet steamer
- Diatomaceous Earth – this also works on fleas.
- Wiping or spraying surfaces with vinegar.
Carpet beetles thrive around dirty carpet. While it’s difficult to prevent them from entering your house, cleaning your carpet and rugs regularly will help keep them away.
If your carpet beetle issue persists and you need professional help, contact Environmental Pest Control today to schedule an inspection.
